Dinsmore & Shohl LLP announces a new Pittsburgh location to accommodate the office’s continued growth. Dinsmore just signed the lease for Six PPG Place in beautiful downtown Pittsburgh.

An iconic feature of the city’s skyline, the PPG building complex spans three city blocks near Market Square. Dinsmore will occupy 29,000 square feet, which includes part of the 12th floor and the entire 13th floor in Six PPG Place. The complex, owned by Highwoods Properties, stood out for a number of reasons.

“Our new office in Six PPG Place will be modernized and customized to fit our workflow. We were also able to lease space in a vibrant section of the city at a competitive price,” said Anthony A. Ditka, Pittsburgh Office Managing Partner. “It was a difficult decision to make. We have a good relationship with One Oxford Centre, but felt Six PPG Place better suited our current needs and future growth."

Dinsmore’s Pittsburgh Office has almost doubled its headcount in the last three years. With 35 attorneys working in an office designed for 30, securing more square footage became a priority. Ditka sees a lot of opportunity to build from the strong base they have created in the Steel City.

“We have a lot of talented attorneys here, and our reputation is growing because of our quality work. When you consider that and Dinsmore’s national platform, there are a lot of incentives for anyone looking to make a change,” said Ditka. “Our office recently expanded to offer intellectual property services and added to our bench strength in corporate. I would like to continue to build on those areas and also enhance our services in key practice area. Pittsburgh is a tremendous place to live and work and we are excited to grow and enhance our presence in our community.”

The move to 6 PPG will happen in two phases. The first group of attorneys is scheduled to move to the 12th floor in the spring of 2017. The rest of the office will move to the 13th floor in early 2018 when the current lease expires at One Oxford Centre. Highwoods Properties Pittsburgh Division Vice President Andy Wisniewski welcomes Dinsmore to PPG Place.

“In the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh, adjacent to the historic Market Square, PPG Place provides walkability to a number of local shops and restaurants,” said Wisniewski. “We think Dinsmore will enjoy everything the complex has to offer and we’re very excited to have Dinsmore as our newest Highwoods customer.”

Dinsmore established the Pittsburgh location in 2002. The office features a diverse range of practices, from banking and financial services to corporate and real estate to entertainment, media and sports.
