Dinsmore & Shohl LLP’s Michael W. Hawkins has been inducted into the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN), an online directory of the country’s premier Civil-Trial Mediators and Arbitrators. NADN also has an affiliation with the Defense Research Institute (DRI).

NADN is an invitation only membership, consisting of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) professionals distinguished by their experience in the field of civil and commercial conflict resolution, as well as their commitment to the practice of ADR. It is a tool used to search for neutral attorneys with similar experience and or qualifications.

“Being invited to join the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals is an honor. NADN is changing the landscape and direction of litigation,” stated Hawkins. “More cases are being settled pre lawsuit and outside of court and this is a great tool in finding neutral attorneys that can solve cases without going to court.”

Hawkins is a partner in the Labor & Employment and Appellate Practice Groups. He is an arbitrator and mediator on the AAA panel and has extensive experience in all aspects of labor, employment law and ERISA litigation and appellate practice. Hawkins has argued two cases in the U.S. Supreme Court and many in-state and Federal Courts of Appeals. He has been selected by Best Lawyers as a top Labor & Employment lawyer every year since 1989 and recognized as an Arbitrator and Mediator.
