Dinsmore & Shohl LLP has been named one of the top three Health Care practices in the Midwest by the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Health Law Section. Health Law members represent clients in all segments of the health care industry, and it serves as the voice of the health bar in the ABA.

Dinsmore was recognized in the 2016 Annual Regional Law Firm Recognition List. The ABA sections the report into 5 regions. The Midwest includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin.

“The practice of health law is professionally challenging and demands dedication. We recognize the firms and attorneys… for answering this call to professionalism, for engaging the challenging health law issues of the day, and for their efforts to address healthcare clients’ complex problems through their membership in the ABA Health Law Section,” Annual Regional Law Firm Recognition report, ABA Health Law Section.

The ABA Health Law Section provides educational opportunities to discuss pressing issues and trends through in person meetings, webinars and teleconferences. Flagship events, like the Washington Health Law Summit, share legislative updates, enforcement trends and emerging issues facing the industry.

“Health Law Section meetings are beneficial because they allow us to see varying perspectives and provide a platform to share best practices,” said Thomas W. Hess, Health Care Group Chair. “It gives us a holistic approach to health law and keeps us abreast of the latest regulations and trends. I’m proud the ABA recognized Dinsmore’s commitment to our clients.”

Dinsmore Health Law Partner Jennifer O. Mitchell serves as Vice Chair of the eHealth, Privacy & Security Group in the Health Law Section. She also emphasizes the value in the section’s programming.

“Health Law is constantly evolving. You must be on top of current regulations and also be aware of the ones in the works. The Health Law Section provides top notch educational events that are essential to your practice,” said Mitchell.

Dinsmore’s Health Law Group represents diverse list of clients ranging from hospitals and assisted living facilities to chiropractors, pharmacists and telemedicine providers.
