Mr. Zettle combines a strong scientific background with over three decades of legal experience. He is a member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and is listed in Best Lawyers in America in the Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law, Litigation - Environmental, and Energy Law categories.
Mr. Zettle’s litigation and appellate practice is concentrated in the areas of eminent domain, property rights and damage, environmental law and liability, land use, governmental regulation, and public utilities. He has represented clients with regard to a broad range of property issues including drainage and flood liability, site contamination, water quality and discharges, petroleum spills, nuisance, landslides, adverse possession, land use, condemnation, annexation, and property disputes. He has represented railroads, land companies, pest control operators, manufacturers, landfill operators, and other clients with respect to tort claims and other litigation. He has also represented developers, resort managers, and telecommunication, water, and motor carrier utilities regarding various regulatory matters.
Mr. Zettle graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. degree in biochemistry. He received graduate training at Penn State’s Air Environment Center and at Penn State’s Pesticide Research Laboratory, and holds M.S. and PhD degrees. He received his law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
