Craft Beer Sector is Potent Legal Practice
San Diego partner Candace Moon was recently profiled in a Daily Transcript story about the legal side of San Diego's booming craft beer industry. Moon has more than 350 craft beer clients. Bankruptcy partner Chris Celentino was also quoted in the story, which can be read here (subscription required). An excerpt is below:
"No city in California has seen the craft beer boom more than San Diego, which has more than 100 breweries. The industry built up around White Labs, which manufactures yeast and quality control testing for local breweries.
Moon joined Dinsmore & Shohl LLP this summer, which she says will allow her to expand into other states with large craft beer industries, including Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Colorado.
"With Dinsmore, I have the opportunity to work almost anywhere in the country," she said.
Moon ran her own small firm for seven years, when Dinsmore partner Christopher Celentino approached her about joining forces. Moon does not handle employment issues or any litigation. Celentino himself had recently joined the firm when he made the pitch that a full-service platform would be good for her clients."
