With a degree in Physics, Brendan brings his knowledge of the technical world to his Intellectual Property practice. He has experience advising a wide range of clients – from start-ups and emerging growth companies to established national and international businesses and institutions – on intellectual property, technology and corporate transactions.
His practice includes drafting and negotiating technology-related agreements and advising clients on transactions such as intellectual property licensing, protection of trade secrets and confidential information, business entity formation, and private equity financing. Brendan also has experience in other IP matters including portfolio development and commercialization, IP protection strategies in employment and institutional contexts, and patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution and enforcement. His experience spans multiple technology areas including software, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and materials and optical sciences.
Prior to his law career, Brendan worked as an experimental physicist at a national laboratory and as an intelligence analyst for a government agency.
