The new year is here, and it is likely to bring with it substantial change in the fields of tax and public policy. To face these new challenges head-on, Dinsmore & Shohl LLP names Wayne F. Wilson to lead the firm’s Tax, Benefit & Wealth Planning practice group.

“The entire firm is looking to our practice group to provide answers during an uncertain time for employers and providers. Everyone is sure that the coming year will bring significant changes, but we don’t quite know what those changes will be because we still have a divided government. It is essential for our group to stay on the forefront of these developing legal issues to best serve our diverse client base,” said Wilson.

The Tax Benefits and Wealth Planning group is readying itself to address anticipated modifications at the federal level, such as the potential repeal of portions of the Affordable Care Act and changes to the federal tax code. Despite the potentially widespread impact of such new federal laws and regulations on employers and individuals, Wilson is confident his group will be at the forefront of the legal community’s response and embraces the opportunity to create positive solutions for Dinsmore’s clients.

“If it’s in the Internal Revenue Code, someone in our group has dealt with it, and that depth of experience makes Dinsmore a wise choice for any client evaluating their legal representation,” said Wilson. “Our attorneys truly believe there is no issue too big or too complex that they can’t solve. The huge geographic footprint we have at Dinsmore coupled with the wide scope of industries we represent best positions us for success during these changing times.”

Wilson is a partner in the firm’s Louisville office and focuses his practice on complex trust and estate matters, transactional matters, and strategic business advice. He earned his J.D. from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, and earned his B.A. from Transylvania University.

Dinsmore has 17 Practice Groups that make up five Legal Departments.
