Michael G. Dailey is a Partner in the Corporate Department and a member of the firm's Recruiting Committee. Michael's practice involves counseling clients on general corporate law, banking law, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. He has advised both public and privately held companies and bank holding companies on commercial transactions; mergers; asset and stock sales; capital raising; public and private securities offerings; and bank and thrift regulatory compliance. He has been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyers® Rising Star. Michael earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law (1999) and his B.S. from Miami University (1988).
Helana A. Darrow is a Partner in the Corporate Department. Helana's practice includes advising clients on executive compensation and employee benefits, including qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefit plans, fringe benefits, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, equity compensation plans and incentive plans. Her experience includes advising on employee benefit issues related to corporate transactions, ERISA litigation and on the design, implementation, administration, termination, legal compliance under the Internal Revenue Code, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, HIPAA, COBRA and applicable state laws. Helana earned her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law (1998) and her B.A. from Morehead State University (1994).
Becky Barlow Fitzsimmons is a Partner in the Corporate Department. Becky's practice includes commercial real estate acquisitions, sales and financing. She has negotiated, documented, and closed a variety of real estate transactions, including recourse and nonrecourse financing, multi-family housing, ground lease transactions, and state-specific variations for commercial financing. She has been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyers® Rising Star and a YWCA of Greater Cincinnati Rising Star. Becky earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law (2000) and her B.A. from Western Maryland College, now known as McDaniel College (1990).
David P. Fornshell is a Partner in the Litigation Department and a member of the Recruiting Committee. David's practice includes the representation of public and private clients in complex federal and state court litigation, arbitrations, and mediations He has extensive federal and state court trial experience and has argued cases before the Ohio Supreme Court and federal and state courts of appeal. He also served as Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Blue Ash, Ohio for the past eight years. David earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law (1999) and his B.B.A. from Ohio University (1995).
William A. Jividen is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Bill's practice includes patent preparation and prosecution, patent infringement, clearance, IP due diligence analysis and client counseling in intellectual property matters. His patent prosecution experience is concentrated in the electrical, mechanical, and software arts as well as in business method and Internet-related areas. Bill is serving on the Dayton Bar Association's Board of Trustees as Treasurer, and has participated as an author and lecturer on "Technology, Ethics and the Lawyer" at the annual Bench and Bar Conference held in Dayton, Ohio. Since 2005, Bill has been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyers® Rising Star and is a recipient of the Forty Under 40 Awards sponsored by the Dayton Business Journal. Bill earned both his J.D. and Master of IP from Franklin Pierce Law Center (1999), his M.S. from George Washington University (1995), and his B.S. from United States Naval Academy (1989).
Daniel L. Jones, Jr. is a Partner in the Product Liability Practice Group. Dan’s practice includes general litigation with emphasis on product liability, mass tort, toxic torts and complex litigation. Dan's product liability litigation experience includes a wide array of products including tobacco, Rezulin, Oxycontin, Phentermine, butter flavoring and asbestos. Dan has first-chair experience in numerous civil and criminal trials. He has practiced in both federal and state courts in multiple jurisdictions. Dan earned his J.D. from Northern Kentucky University, Chase College of Law (1999) and his B.S. from Northern Kentucky University (1994).
Amanda Prebble Lenhart is a Partner in the Litigation Department and a member of the Recruiting Committee. Amanda's practice includes business matters, securities, bankruptcy, contracts, civil fiduciary issues, trusts, and unfair competition. She has represented individuals, Fortune 500 corporations, as well as start-up businesses and entrepreneurs. Amanda has experience in trying cases in federal and state courts, as well as prosecuting and defending complex matters through arbitration. Amanda earned her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law (2000) and her B.A. from Miami University (1997).
Joshua A. Lorentz is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group and a member of the Recruiting Committee. Josh's practice includes working with numerous technologies in the chemical, biotech, mechanical, and electrical engineering arts. He also has extensive IP litigation experience including actions before the International Trade Commission. He has been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyers® Rising Star. Josh earned his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law (2001), his B.S. from Ohio University (1997) and his B.A. from Ohio University (1998).
Jennifer Orr Mitchell is a Partner in the Litigation Department. Jennifer's practice includes litigation in federal and state courts with an emphasis on medico-legal matters, including qui tam and product liability actions. She advises clients on health care regulatory compliance. She represents physicians and other licensed medical professionals in administrative/licensure proceedings. Jennifer presents throughout the region on HIPAA Administrative Simplification and has served as an expert witness in cases involving claims of breach of privacy. She is a recipient of the Forty Under 40 Award sponsored by the Business Courier. Jennifer earned her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law (1998) and her B.A. from Miami University (1995).
Richard D. Porotsky Jr. is a Partner in the Litigation Department. Rick's practice focuses on business and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience with insurance coverage and business valuation issues. Rick's work often involves detailed analysis of commercial data, including accounting, marketing issues, and profitability levels. He participates as a speaker in an annual seminar on "Insurance Coverage Litigation." Topics include bad faith, policy interpretation, advertising injury coverage and ethical issues. He has been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyers® Rising Star. Rick earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School (1996) and his B.A. from Vanderbilt University (1993).
H. Toby Schisler is a Partner in the Litigation Department and a member of the Recruiting Committee. Toby's practice includes experience in all aspects of litigation. He has first-chair trial experience in more than 20 cases in state and federal courts. Much of Toby's practice is devoted to representing motor vehicle manufacturers and distributors in litigation involving product liability claims, warranty issues, and consumer sales practices. He also handles business and commercial litigation cases for a diverse group of clients. He has been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyers® Rising Star.
