Represented Media General Operations in a matter involving claims of defamation and wrongful discharge
We defended Media General Operations against claims by a former employee of breach of contract, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and wrongful discharge. The employee had been terminated following a sexual harassment investigation, and he claimed that his termination violated the terms of his employment agreement. We represented our client in the Kentucky Court of Appeals, where summary judgment was upheld. The plaintiff filed for discretionary review with the Kentucky Supreme Court, but was denied. Brett v.
