Stephen P. Goodwin, a standout in the legal community and a well-known figure for his commitment to West Virginia, has joined Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Goodwin was in private practice at Goodwin & Ware, LLP in Morgantown. He joins the firm as a partner in the Litigation Department, working from the Morgantown office.

Goodwin is the immediate past chair of the West Virginia University (WVU) Board of Governors. He is currently completing his second term as a member of the Board. Goodwin also served as the 100th president of the WVU Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Goodwin has practiced law for more than 35 years and brings extensive experience in the area of litigation with an emphasis on insurance defense, toxic torts, and government relations to the firm. Goodwin earned his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law and his B.S. from West Virginia University.
