Dinsmore & Shohl and The State Journal partnered to create Growth Strategies, a series of programs focused on the secrets to growing your business. Dinsmore & Shohl and The State Journal conducted three moderated panel discussions throughout the state with key business leaders who shared their experiences and insights on growth in the 21st century. The panelists talked about the challenges and opportunities they've faced while improving and increasing capacity and efficiency.
The first Growth Strategies program was held in Charleston, West Virginia at the Charleston Town Center Marriott on March 6. Bray Cary, President and Chief Executive Officer of West Virginia Media was the moderator for all of the Growth Strategies programs. Business people from across Charleston turned out to hear from the panelists, Keith Pauley (President and CEO, Mid Atlantic Technology, Research & Innovation Center), Scott Rotruck (VP Corporate Development, Chesapeake Energy Corp.), Jeffrey Samples (President, Terradon Communications Group) and Mike Walker (Executive VP, Walker Machinery Co.).
The second Growth Strategies program was held in Morgantown, West Virginia at the Waterfront Place Hotel on May 8. The program was well attended with panelists, Frank Alderman (MD, CEO, MedExpress Urgent Care), Chanler Bailey (CEO, Mannette Steel Drums), Brian Thomas (President and CEO, Clear Mountain Bank) and Ed DeCosta (President, Catalyst Associates LLC), addressing a wide variety of growth opportunities.
The final Growth Strategies program was held in Wheeling, West Virginia at Oglebay Resort on August 19. The panelists, Rich Lucas (President & CEO, Main Street Bank), Les DeFelice (President & CEO, DeFeliceCare, Inc.), David McKinley (CFP, President & Managing Director, McKinley Carter Wealth Services) and Antonia Wierzbicki (Owner/Designer, Bellisima....Simply Beautiful Flowers), addressed a packed house and covered a number of strategies and best practices.
