2 Dinsmore Attorneys Accepted to LBA’s Leadership Academy

Dinsmore & Shohl’s Michelle Tupper Butler and J. Tanner Watkins have been accepted into the Louisville Bar Association (LBA) Leadership Academy 2015/16 class.

The LBA’s Leadership Academy spans six months and focuses on developing leaders to make an impact in their profession and community. The goal is to empower attorneys to contribute to Louisville, embrace diversity and strive to practice the highest standards of the legal profession.

Michelle Tupper Butler is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, focusing her practice on complex civil litigation in federal and state courts, especially on claims and investigations brought pursuant to the False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Act. Michelle has experience in all aspects of litigation, from preparing early pleadings, to managing large-scale discovery and depositions, to preparing experts, to trial and post-trial motions practice. Michelle has represented clients in high-profile False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Act matters, sealed government investigations, antitrust actions, and litigation over contract interpretation.

J. Tanner Watkins is a member of Dinsmore’s Litigation Department. He has extensive experience in state and federal courts, having represented a variety of companies, including banks, financial advisors and trust companies in fiduciary litigation matters. He also represents a number of transportation companies and product manufacturers in personal injury, mass tort, and general tort matters. Watkins’ experience in this type of litigation spans both trial courts and appellate courts.
