Kristy Britsch is a member of the Compensation & Benefits Practice Group in the Corporate Department. Kristy represents employers of all sizes in connection with their employee benefit plans, including plan design, implementation, and compliance. She is experienced with all types of tax-qualified retirement plans, including profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans, money purchase plans, target benefit plans, 403(b) plans and defined benefit plans. In addition, Kristy has experience with the design and implementation of employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), and their use as a succession planning device. She counsels corporate clients on ERISA compliance matters, such as fiduciary duties, prohibited transactions and notice and disclosure requirements under ERISA. In addition, Kristy has extensive experience in representing clients in IRS and DOL correction programs and audits. Kristy also advises employers on issues raised in connection with corporate mergers and acquisitions as they relate to employee benefit plans.
Kristy also has extensive experience in assisting plan sponsors of group health plans with plan design issues, plan administration, and statutory and regulatory compliance issues, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and the PPACA requirements as they relate to such plans.
