Dinsmore & Shohl LLP partners with The Kentucky Horse Council to present the February Kentucky Equine Networking Association (KENA) dinner: Game Changers: Who’s Responsible? The dinner will be held on February 16, 2015, at Fasig-Tipton in Lexington, Ky. KENA is a dinner and educational series open to both equine professionals and horse owners and will feature a networking reception from 5:30-6:00 PM, followed by dinner with the main speakers from 6-8 PM.

The group, focused on the Kentucky thoroughbred, sport, and pleasure horse community, is charged with the mission of providing an educational and social venue for equine professionals and horse enthusiasts from all disciplines. KENA, which is organized by the Kentucky Horse Council and supported by the University of Kentucky Ag Equine Program, provides the opportunity for attendees to share ideas, business strategies and knowledge, and to obtain up-to-date information on horse and farm management.

February’s speakers will be Sonja Keating, Esq., General Counsel for the United States Equestrian Federation, and Dr. Dionne Benson, the Executive Director of the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium. Ms. Keating will provide an update and commentary on new and proposed competition rules regulations, including uncertainty in US competition regarding responsible parties. . Dr. Benson will speak on the proposed uniform medication rules from the RMTC as well as new regulations facing the thoroughbred industry.
