Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to announce that Lloyd R. Cress, Sr. has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Groups. He will practice in the firm's Lexington, Kentucky office and continue to serve as General Counsel of the Kentucky Coal Association.

Cress brings with him more than 40 years of service to clients in the environmental and natural resources arenas. Cress bolsters the firm's expanding environmental practice, joining Carl Breeding and his own son Rusty who made the move to Dinsmore & Shohl last year.
Earlier in his career, Cress served as the Deputy Secretary for the Kentucky Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet, Commissioner of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection, Environmental Director of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, and as Chief Environmental Counsel for Ashland Inc.
Cress focuses his practice on environmental permitting and compliance with environmental and natural resource laws and regulations. He provides representation on environmental law issues to many of Kentucky's largest businesses and associations. Cress earned his LL.B. and B.A. from the University of Kentucky.
