Dinsmore's Washington, D.C. office was founded in 2011 in order to capitalize and build on our strong governmental roots. Located on Pennsylvania Ave, in the heart of America's capital, our Washington, D.C. office focuses on federal and state legislative matters, regulatory matters, corporate labor and employment law, employee benefits, executive compensation and employee stock ownership plans, internal corporate investigations, government contracts, civil and criminal litigation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and state and federal election finance matters. With close proximity to US Congress, regulatory agencies, federal departments and courts, we are able to stay up to date and in touch with current government legal affairs.
In addition to hosting our nation’s government, Washington D.C. also offers a variety of entertainment and dining options, as well as a plethora of cultural and historical landmarks. The city pays homage to former presidents with the Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial and also honors the nation’s military with the World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Memorials. The city is also home to the Smithsonian Institution, which includes the National Air and Space Museum, National Museum of Natural History, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Sports fans follow the Washington Nationals baseball team and the Washington Redskins football team, as well as DC United of Major League Soccer and the Washington Wizards of the NBA. The city is home to several colleges and universities, including Georgetown University, George Washington University and American University.
