Dinsmore & Shohl LLP announced this week that partners Mark C. Bissinger and Michael J. Weber have accepted invitations to join the Construction Lawyers Society of America. The CLSA is a newly established construction lawyer honorary society with selective membership by invitation only.

CLSA membership is limited to 1,200 active practicing lawyers worldwide. Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishment in construction law and closely related specialties, from the transactional level to trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.

“It is an honor to be considered among the top construction lawyers in the U.S.,” said Bissinger. “I thank the CLSA advisory board for the inclusion and look forward to working closely with my peers to help shape best practices in construction law.”

Bissinger is a partner in Dinsmore’s litigation department and is the co-chair of the firm’s Construction Law Practice Group. During his 32 years at the firm, Bissinger has served in a general counsel capacity for several businesses, including real estate developers, a community bank, construction companies, telecommunication companies, social services agencies and venture capital backed technology companies.

Weber, based in Chicago, is a partner in the firm’s litigation department where he focuses his practice on construction law and fidelity and surety bond claims/litigation, in addition to complex litigation, commercial law and transactional matters. Weber is also a member of the Society of Illinois Construction Attorneys (SOICA), a Society of Illinois lawyers who are distinguished for their skill and experience in the practice of construction law.
