Mike Manzler is a Partner in the Labor & Employment Law Department. For nearly 20 years, Mike has been devising effective legal solutions and obtaining favorable results for a wide variety of clients, from national Fortune 100 corporations to small local organizations and individuals. He represents and counsels management in all phases of employment law and labor relations, including defense of employment discrimination, breach of contract (non-competition and other), wage-hour, intentional tort, ERISA denial of benefits, and wrongful discharge litigation in federal and state trial and appellate courts. Mike regularly defends employers before state and federal government agencies including the EEOC, Ohio Civil Rights Commission and other state agencies, Department of Labor, and NLRB, and advises management regarding human resources policies and practices, employment contracts and independent contractor agreements, wage-hour matters, and compliance with numerous employment statutes such as the FMLA, ADA, Title VII, ADEA, USERRA, and FLSA.
He also has extensive experience arbitrating under both collective bargaining agreements and individual employment contracts, representing employers in mediation of employment disputes in a variety of venues, and obtaining summary judgment in employment litigation. Mike chairs the Cincinnati Bar Association's Labor & Employment Law Committee and has been recognized by his peers as an Ohio Super Lawyer.
