BRIDGES Honors Dinsmore & Shohl Attorney for Community Service

Michael W. Hawkins, a partner in Dinsmore & Shohl's Cincinnati office, has been recognized for his distinguished service to the community by BRIDGES for a Just Community. Hawkins will be honored at BRIDGES 60th Annual Awards Dinner on May 27th. The mission of BRIDGES is to bring people together to achieve inclusion, equity and justice for all who live and work in the Greater Cincinnati community.

Hawkins currently serves as an Emeritus Board member for BRIDGES, an organization he chaired while under the name of the National Conference for Community and Justice. He currently serves on the board of ALFA International: The Global Legal Network; American Red Cross, Greater Cincinnati Area Chapter; Foreign Policy Leadership Council of Greater Cincinnati and Refugees International.

Hawkins is a partner in the firm's Labor & Employment Department and Appellate Practice Group. He has extensive experience in all aspects of labor, employment law and ERISA litigation and appellate practice. Hawkins has argued two cases in the U.S. Supreme Court and many in-state and Federal Courts of Appeals. Since 1992, he has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® as a top labor and employment lawyer. Hawkins earned his J.D. and B.A. from the University of Kentucky.
