Dinsmore is pleased to announce that partner Christopher Benintendi of the firm’s Cincinnati office has been named Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group. Benintendi succeeds George Wilkinson, who for 30 years served as head of the group, which now includes 17 attorneys across four cities. The group is one of the most active in the Midwest, handling nearly 100 hearings a week and was recently recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® as the Top-Listed law firm in Ohio for workers' compensation law.

Wilkinson, who is regarded as one of the top workers’ compensation attorneys in the state, will remain active within the group as a partner.

“After building and managing the largest statewide workers’ compensation practice in Ohio, I am happy that Chris will be managing the group so I can devote full-time attention to my clients and the specialized self-insured and state fund risk issues that are of such critical importance to the firm’s clients,” said Wilkinson. “I know Chris and the partners in the group will do a fine job in continuing to grow the practice in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.”

Benintendi counsels clients on workers' compensation law, Violation of Specific Safety Requirements claims and intentional tort claims. He is certified in workers' compensation law by the Ohio State Bar Association Workers' Compensation Specialty Board and is a frequent speaker at advanced, intermediate and basic workers' compensation seminars. He is also a current member of Dinsmore’s Board of Directors. Benintendi has been selected for the Ohio Super Lawyers® list since 2004 in the area of workers’ compensation and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America®.

"It is a great honor to lead such an accomplished group of attorneys and I’m confident that we can build upon our record of client satisfaction and growth," Benintendi said. "In addition, I hope to continue the tradition of excellence that George established. He will continue to be a vital part of our group moving forward.”
