Dinsmore is pleased to announce that Anthony Ditka has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s Pittsburgh office. Ditka will oversee 21 attorneys and 13 professionals. He assumes the position from James Zeszutek, who has helped the office grow from three attorneys since taking over as Managing Partner in Pittsburgh.

Zeszutek, who left his post as Chairman of Thorp Reed & Armstrong LLP’s Complex Litigation Group to form Dinsmore’s first Pennsylvania office in 2002, will remain active within the firm as a partner.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the growth and energy of our Pittsburgh office, and thank my colleagues for the opportunity to serve,” said Zeszutek. “I know that Anthony will build on our solid foundation and lead us to the next level.”

Ditka, who left Thorp Reed in 2007 to help form Dinsmore’s Public Finance Group, is excited for the new opportunity.

“I’m proud to lead a uniquely talented and strategic group of business lawyers and staff dedicated to client success. The reality in today’s world is that serving clients and practicing law is a team effort, and the Dinsmore team is outstanding. We are all very optimistic about the future of Western Pennsylvania,” said Ditka.

Ditka has been practicing municipal finance law for 14 years. He concentrates his practice on tax-exempt financing of municipal projects, including schools, municipal buildings and recreational facilities. Beyond his practice as bond counsel, Ditka represents several investment and commercial banks as Underwriters Counsel. He also maintains an active practice as bank counsel for providers of paying agent and trustee services. Ditka earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law and his B.A. from Ohio University.
