Dinsmore & Shohl is pleased to announce that Denise M. Everett, Matthew P. Kingery, Andrew R. Kwiatkowski and Jason S. Long have been named partners of the firm.

Denise's practice covers a broad spectrum of intellectual property matters with a focus on patent drafting and prosecution in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical and chemical arts. She also has notable experience with mechanical arts and design patents; FDA regulatory law, including the Hatch Waxman Act; prescription and OTC drug regulation; biologics; and medical device regulation. Denise provides guidance on medical device reporting compliance and classification issues. In addition to copyright registration practice, she counsels clients on DMCA compliance, with particular emphasis on the safe harbor provisions of Title II.

Matt's practice focuses on a wide range of real estate matters with emphasis on title, acquisitions, sales and financing issues. Matt's experience includes transactions involving both complex estates and oil, gas and mineral issues and he has a wealth of experience with landlord tenant issues and title insurance matters. His clients include lenders, property owners, developers and property management groups. Matt remains active in his community and currently serves as a member of the Charleston Area Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors, the University of Charleston Graduate School of Business' Advisory Committee, Generation Charleston, and the West Virginia State Bar Real Estate Zoning and Land Use Section. Matt has been selected for numerous awards including being listed in West Virginia Rising Stars® and being named as a recipient of the 2009 Generation Next: 40 Under 40 award by The State Journal.

Andy's experience covers all aspects of the litigation process, from dispute resolution to jury trials. Andy's litigation practice focuses on product liability, warranty, and construction issues. Andy has considerable experience representing manufacturers and distributors of automobiles, machinery, equipment, and other products. Andy often represents owners, developers, contractors, and material suppliers in all phases of construction litigation. Andy's practice also includes significant experience in the areas of commercial litigation, matters involving troubled assets (including foreclosures, collection actions, and mechanic's liens), and unemployment claims. Andy is a member of the firm's Recruiting and Professional Development Committees.

Jason’s practice focuses on enforcing the collection rights and security interests of creditors. In this area of the law, he also has experience in defending creditors and debt collection entities and/or mortgage servicers in litigation where claims have been asserted against such entities for alleged violations of the West Virginia Consumer Credit and Protect Act and/or the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Jason is also a member of the firm's Education Law Practice Group where he provides representation to a number of county school systems in the State. His experience includes guidance on all personnel matters, student and employee discipline matters and due process hearings. He often provides in-service training to school personnel on issues such as student rights, student discipline, employee discipline and updates on the ever changing educational laws. Jason has been listed in West Virginia Rising Stars® and named a "Future Star" by Benchmark Litigation.
