Dinsmore & Shohl is pleased to announce nine new partners: Staci Criswell, Peter Draugelis, Gregory Kaskey, Brian Moore, Michael Mott, Lee Rosenthal, Seth Schwartz, David Treacy, and J.E. White.

Staci Criswell

Staci assists individual and institutional clients in the areas of estate planning, from basic wills and trusts to more complicated planning such as GRATs, ILITs, special needs trusts, family foundations, and family limited partnerships. She also assists clients with trust and estate administration, charitable giving, asset protection planning, and business succession planning. She has developed an extensive practice in trust and estate litigation, including will contests, will construction actions, and fiduciary litigation. Staci has a broad range of experience in advising institutional fiduciaries and is frequently called upon to create and advise tax-exempt organizations. Staci is also active in the community, serving as a member of the Charleston Estate Planning Council, the Secretary of the Kanawha County Bar Association, and a member of the West Virginia State Bar's Probate Committee and State and Federal Taxation Committee. Also, in November, former Gov. Manchin appointed her to the West Virginia Children with Autism Trust Board. In 2010, Staci was named a Rising Star® by Law & Politics Media.

Peter Draugelis

Peter's practice covers a broad spectrum of business and corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, finance, supply and distributorship agreements, and international business transactions. He advises clients from small entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies concerning forming new businesses, strategic partnering relationships, and general business issues that in-house counsel and executives face on a daily basis. Peter is also active in the community, serving as the President of the Oakley Community Council, a member of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers, and recently as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati. Peter has been named a Rising Star® by Law & Politics Media in both 2010 and 2011.

Gregory Kaskey

Greg's practice is focused primarily on all aspects of commercial real estate. He has extensive experience in counseling clients involving the sale, acquisition, development, construction, financing, and leasing of a wide range of properties, including shopping centers, mixed-use sites, office buildings, manufacturing and industrial facilities, warehouse and distribution centers, and other commercial properties. Greg’s experience also consists of representing clients in commercial foreclosure, receivership, eminent domain, and zoning proceedings. He counsels a variety of clients including Fortune 100 companies, NYSE listed companies, privately-held entities, family-owned companies, sole proprietors, lenders, and municipal and governmental authorities.

Brian Moore

Brian focuses his practice on labor and employment law and has extensive experience representing employers in discrimination, sexual harassment, wage and hour, unemployment, unfair labor practice, and union representation cases. He also works with human resources managers in drafting and reviewing employee handbooks and conducting supervisor training. Brian is a frequent speaker and has published many articles, including several dealing with technology issues in the workplace. He is a Past Chair of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia's Employment Law Committee and has been named a Rising Star® by Law & Politics Media. Brian is also active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Appalachian Reading Center and the Advisory Board for the Problem Gamblers' Help Network of West Virginia. In addition, Brian will serve as Director of Generation Putnam in 2011, a young professionals' group dedicated to networking, professional development, and community service.

Michael Mott

Mike has a wealth of experience in assisting employers with employment law issues. He works with human resources managers and in-house counsel to provide employment law advice and representation in litigation. Mike represents employers in both state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He has litigated a broad range of cases for employers, including all types of discrimination and wrongful discharge claims, claims concerning noncompetition agreements and trade secrets, and a variety of other employment law claims. Mike has significant experience representing health care entities concerning employment law issues. Mike is also involved in the community. He is a member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, Regional Business Retention Committee and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Melanoma Know More. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Mike practiced law in Boston for eight years.

Lee Rosenthal

Lee joined the firm in 2009 through the firm’s merger with Woodward, Hobson & Fulton LLP, which Lee practiced with since 2002. His practice involves litigation in the areas of product liability, transportation law, commercial litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith, and general liability. Lee has both lead counsel and co-counsel trial experience in both state and federal court. He has successfully argued in front of the Kentucky Court of Appeals. Lee also has substantial experience in representing clients in alternative dispute resolution. He has published multiple articles, in several publications, on a wide variety of evidentiary, liability, and damages issues.

Seth Schwartz

Seth joined Dinsmore in 2006 after spending the first five years of his career practicing commercial litigation in Boston, Massachusetts for Davis, Malm, and D'Agostine, P.C. and Bingham McCutchen LLP. His practice focuses primarily on civil litigation, encompassing commercial, close-corporation, real estate, and breach of contract disputes. Seth has a wealth of experience, including as lead attorney for a dispute relating to contractual payments and title insurance for a large commercial shopping center, working on a $17 million lease fraud matter, a $25 million trade secret and tortious interference jury trial, and successfully trying a commercial lease breach case involving issues of alleged constructive eviction. Seth's experience earned him an invitation from the National Business Institute to lecture on settlement strategies and tactics and, in 2010, Seth was named a Rising Star® by Law & Politics Media. In addition to his professional practice, Seth is active in his community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Cincinnati AJC. In addition, Seth is a member of the firm's professional development committee and an alumni interviewer for Northwestern University School of Law.

David Treacy

David concentrates his practice on complex corporate and commercial litigation in the state and federal trial and appellate courts as well as before state administrative agencies. His litigation experience on behalf of businesses and individuals encompasses a wide variety of business issues, including shareholder, membership and partnership disputes and fiduciary duty issues, contract and non-compete issues, warranty disputes, business torts, real estate litigation, construction litigation, mechanics liens, insurance coverage, and litigation involving the constitutionality and interpretation of statutes. David also has substantial experience representing clients in mediations and arbitrations. David is active at the firm and in his community. He currently is a member of the firm’s Professional Development Committee and its Mentoring Program. In addition, David currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras and the Bell Court Neighborhood Association, and is an officer of the Notre Dame Club of Central Kentucky.

He serves on several committees and professional organizations throughout West Virginia including the West Virginia State Bar's Probate Committee and State and Federal Taxation Committee, Charleston Estate Planning Council, Charleston Area Tax Group, and the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s Tax Committee.
