Dinsmore & Shohl Forms New Company

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP and Tom Fries, Sr. announced today that they have formed a new company, Dinsmore Fries Public Sector Advisors LLC. Practicing from Dinsmore & Shohl's Columbus, Ohio office, the consulting group of Fries and fellow consultant Kari Hertel will serve clients with operations throughout Ohio.

"We're looking forward to leveraging Dinsmore & Shohl's tremendous assets, assisting their clients and expanding our services throughout Ohio."

Dinsmore Fries Public Sector Advisors LLC specializes in vendor and advocacy representation before legislative bodies and agencies of state, federal and local governments. Going forward, the consulting group will be adding new members to their existing team to best serve clients. In addition, the consulting group will work co-operatively with D&S Consulting LLC, the government relations arm of Dinsmore & Shohl which was formed in May of 2008.

Fries has been a public sector consultant since 1985 when he formed Tom Fries Associates following 14 years of service in the Ohio General Assembly's House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate. Fries focuses on the vendor area of consulting which includes green jobs and advanced energy. Hertel spent 10 years in government service including work for Senator George Voinovich and Attorney General Jim Petro and now consults and represents individuals and organizations on government contracting, economic development and administrative law.
