Dinsmore & Shohl and Procter & Gamble (P&G) welcomed 30 Fellows to Cincinnati at a kickoff dinner at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center as part of Leadership Council for Legal Diversity (LCLD) event.

The Procter & Gamble Company LCLD Fellows Learning Experience took place on October 21 and 22 and detailed how P&G grew to become a multi-billion dollar company. During the dinner at the Freedom Center, the fellows heard career reflections and advice from Steve Jemison, former Chief Legal Officer of P&G. Over the course of two days, they learned how to embrace diversity while developing leadership skills and what companies, like P&G, expect from their leaders. Dinsmore’s Marty Dunn took part in a panel along with P&G executives and attorneys. Dunn is the firm’s Diversity Chair.

The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity was formed in 2009 to develop strategies to increase diversity in the legal profession. LCLD has also partnered with Eli Lilly and Company and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to host Learning Experiences this year.

“It’s essential to engage young attorneys and put them on the path to leadership. LCLD is focused on bringing law firms and corporate legal departments together to share insights and lessons learned. That’s what these learning experiences are all about,” said George H. Vincent, Dinsmore’s Managing Partner.
