Karen Gaunt and Lynda Roesch, partners in Dinsmore’s Intellectual Property Department, have been recognized by World Trademark Review (WTR) in its 2014 edition of WTR 1000, a listing of the stand out firms and attorneys in trademark law. Dinsmore & Shohl was also among seven Ohio firms named in WTR 1000.

WTR 1000 describes Karen Gaunt as “a premier player on conflicts and transactions.” At Dinsmore, Gaunt’s practice involves all aspects of domestic and international trademark clearance and prosecution matters, anti-counterfeiting, copyright, advertising, Internet/social media, licensing, and enforcement matters.

Lynda Roesch is highlighted by WTR 1000 for litigation and her “renowned prosecution practice.” Roesch counsels clients on trademark clearance and registrations. As well, she has prosecuted trademark applications for over 30 years. Her practice focuses on litigation involving intellectual property at the trial court and appellate levels.

WTR 1000 breaks down the global field into regions and is the only standalone directory that focuses entirely on Trademark law. It focuses on each market to identify the top firms and attorneys. To compile the list, researchers solicit reviews over a four month period from hundreds of clients and lawyers. Firms are judged by the depth of services they can provide in support of the top trademark attorneys.

According to WTR 1000, “Dinsmore & Shohl is one of the most active outfits on the local market and ‘a terrific choice across the spectrum of trademark assignments’. Its robust full-service backbone and countrywide office network ensure that it can take on any ancillary legal tasks which arise.”

This is the fourth year World Trademark Review has published WTR 1000. Seven Ohio firms and 16 attorneys were listed in the Ohio Section.
