October 1 is a quickly approaching deadline, set by the U.S. Department of Labor, for employers across the country. Employers have until this date to inform all employees about the existence of the new health insurance exchanges, their eligibility for a tax credit and that they may lose employer contributions if they decide to purchase from the marketplace.
