Mark A. Harper Joined IPO’s Patent Search Committee as Voting Member

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP’s Mark Harper, Ph.D. has been appointed to the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) Patent Search Committee for the 2016-2017 term.

IPO has 30 Standing IP Committees responsible for eight areas of intellectual property policy, law and practice. Committees prepare reports on current government, public affairs and business issues and develop recommendations for the IPO Board of Directors. Appointments are made by the IPO President.

Dr. Harper brings impressive academic credentials and practical knowledge to the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. This experience allows him to effectively counsel clients and build relationships with people at all levels of an organization. With a solid background in metals, Mark’s clients include steel products and durable goods manufacturers, as well as small and large companies in other industries, and university research and technology licensing offices. Prior to attending law school, Mark worked as a research engineer in the metals industry responsible for projects involving high temperature corrosion and alloy development.
