Michael G. Adams named General Counsel for Republican Attorneys General Association

Michael G. Adams, a Partner in Dinsmore & Shohl’s Government Relations Practice Group, has been named General Counsel of the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA).

Adams will advise and guide RAGA in its efforts to elect Republican attorneys general in the 43 states where the office is an elected position. Adams also serves as General Counsel of the Republican Governors Association (RGA) from Dinsmore, and as treasurer to several Super PACs engaged in federal and state elections.

“It’s a real and rare honor to be general counsel for not one but two national committees,” said Adams. “I look forward to assisting RAGA in their efforts to elect Republican attorneys general across the country.”

Adams practices out of the Washington, D.C. and Louisville, KY offices. His Political Law practice focuses on counseling and representing candidates, political organizations, issue groups, donors and political consultants, in federal, state and local elections. He also counsels clients in other federal and state constitutional and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Dinsmore, Adams served as in-house General Counsel of the Republican Governors Association and served at the U.S. Department of Justice as Deputy Chief Privacy & Civil Liberties Officer and Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General. From 2004 to 2006, Adams served as Deputy General Counsel to Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher. He earned his J.D. from the Harvard Law School and his B.A. from the University of Louisville.
