Michael Hawkins Named to Montgomery County Diversity Board

Michael Hawkins, a partner in Dinsmore & Shohl's Cincinnati office, was recently named to the Montgomery County Diversity/Inclusiveness Advisory Group. The exclusive group was formed to review the types of services provided by the City of Montgomery and to discuss the importance of service delivery to all stakeholders. Presently, the group's initiatives include reviewing diversity efforts which are present in the City's events and programs, identifying additional opportunities for the City to ensure cultural inclusion and to promote diversity in its programming and service delivery.

Hawkins is a member of the firm's Labor & Employment Department and Appellate Practice Group. He has extensive experience in all aspects of labor, employment law and ERISA litigation and appellate practice. Hawkins has argued two cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and many in State and Federal Courts of Appeals. Since 1989, he has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® as a top labor and employment lawyer. Hawkins earned his J.D. and B.A. from the University of Kentucky. He is a resident of Montgomery, Ohio.
