Randy Whitlatch is based in the firm’s Pittsburgh office. Randy is experienced in mass tort, toxic tort and products liability litigation, and has litigated cases asserting a wide range of claims, including claims for medical monitoring relief. Randy has represented chemical and life science companies, coal companies, insurance companies, and healthcare organizations.
Randy has experience with complex litigation in both state and federal courts, including experience with class action claims, electronic discovery, mass tort, contract, and trademark infringement claims. Randy has been assisting counsel in mass toxic tort matters, seeking medical monitoring and other relief for alleged neurologic disease, liver disease, genotoxicity, reproductive toxicity, and various cancers.
Randy also has developed experience in general commercial litigation and has litigated matters involving claims for, among other things, shareholder squeeze-out, corporate dissolution, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, business torts, and trademark infringement. Randy has used his general commercial experience to assist healthcare organizations and physicians, coal companies, and other large and small organizations.
Randy has also gained experience across all practice areas in electronic discovery and records and information management. Randy has guided clients through electronic discovery during litigation and has also provided counsel to clients outside of active litigation who wish to plan and comply with state and/or federal requirements regarding their e-mail, legal hold, and general document retention policies and procedures.
