Richard Killworth is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Richard has practiced patent law for more than 35 years, focusing on patent licensing, litigation, and chemical patent prosecution matters. He started his career as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, working in organic chemistry technology. He also clerked the U.S. Court of Customs and Patent Appeals. He taught at The Ohio State University, University of Dayton and University of Miami law schools. He taught CLE courses offered by Patent Resources Group for more than 25 years. He has been an expert on patent practice and procedure in 19 court trials, including three Markman hearings and 16 full trials.
