Leveraging extensive experience in all aspects of commercial real estate matters with a practical, communication-driven approach, Sterling provides a wide range of clients the insight and counsel they need to accomplish their objectives.
To assist her clients with navigating an uncertain real estate market, Sterling draws on her early experience as a litigator and more than 14 years as a transactional attorney to counsel clients through the often complex issues associated with acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, loan restructuring and commercial foreclosure. She has represented a variety of clients, including the owners of small businesses, individual investors in commercial real estate, lenders of community-development (low-income housing projects) construction loans and special servicers and lenders in troubled real estate matters, and provided the necessary counsel to guide them through an array of commercial real estate matters. Having worked with clients at all levels of a project, from contract negotiation and drafting and assistance with due diligence, to preparation of easement and license documents to handling issues related to financing, Sterling draws on her deep reservoir of experience to bring a unique perspective to her clients, allowing them to find solutions in an efficient manner.
Understanding that every client has unique circumstances, Sterling places a premium on learning each client’s culture and tailoring an approach to fit their needs. Her relationship-building has allowed her to serve as an outside advisor to a number of clients, offering counsel and insight on general corporate matters as well as real estate.
