Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to announce that Joel Helmrich, Carl Staiger, and Brian Golias have joined the firm. The three partners will be moving from Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP to Dinsmore & Shohl's Pittsburgh Office.

With their addition, Dinsmore & Shohl gains additional strengths in a number of core areas including: corporate, securities, taxation, bankruptcy and creditors rights and banking law.
Practicing as partners in the firm's Corporate Department, these attorneys join an expanding group following the arrival of three attorneys last year and the formation of a municipal and public finance practice.
Joel Helmrich focuses his practice in a variety of areas, including financial instruments, sales and acquisitions of business entities and the sale of debt instruments. His practice also includes representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings as well as state court collection matters. Helmrich has been selected for numerous awards including being listed in the The Best Lawyers in America®, Pennsylvania Super Lawyers®, and is rated an AV lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell.
Carl Staiger concentrates his practice in corporate and securities law, taxation and oil and gas matters. In addition, he has extensive experience involving business and tax planning for commercial transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and real estate transactions, as well as planning involving partnerships, S corporations, and other closely held businesses.
Brian J. Golias focuses his practice in the corporate, securities and banking law arenas. In addition, he has provided his clients with assistance in entity selection and formation, development of new markets and products, public offerings and private placements, regulatory compliance, licensing, contracting, business succession planning and asset and stock acquisition and divesture transactions.
