As a member of the Corporate Department and Health Care Practice Group, Tyler handles a variety of health care matters. Understanding that the health care industry is constantly evolving, Tyler places a premium on staying current on new developments. He regularly drafts newsletters for health care clients that detail new legislation and newsworthy health care issues. He handles hospital privileging matters on the hospital and physician side, working with the Health Care Quality Improvement Act, hospital bylaws, and the peer review process in general, including databank and state board reporting requirements. His work with numerous types of healthcare providers gives him experience handling licensure matters with a number of agencies, including the West Virginia Board of Nursing, the West Virginia Board of Osteopathic Medicine, and the West Virginia and Ohio Boards of Medicine.
Tyler’s work extends even further into the healthcare arena, as he has extensive experience drafting and advising clients regarding all varieties of health care contracts, including physician employment and recruitment agreements, nursing home and residential care facility agreements, and third party payor contracts. Additionally, he works with health care providers facing West Virginia Certificate of Need, Stark and Anti-kickback, and HIPAA issues, allowing him to provide a sound understanding of the challenges facing clients.
Tyler also has an array of litigation experience assisting clients through disputes. Tailoring his strategy to fit individualized needs, Tyler takes a practical approach to finding resolutions for clients.
