Kevin L. Burch joins Dinsmore & Shohl’s Cincinnati Office

Dinsmore & Shohl welcomes Kevin L. Burch to its Cincinnati office. Burch will practice out of the Corporate Department and focus on Employee Benefits matters.

Burch comes to Dinsmore from SunGard Data Systems in Colorado where he consulted on a variety of retirements plan issues for clients and made sure they complied with Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor requirements. Prior to SunGard, Burch spent time in London, England working for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, LLP where he advised on pension and international share plans as well as prepared compensation disclosures. Burch also worked at Bryan Cave, LLP in Denver as an Employee Benefit attorney drafting and amending retirement, health and welfare plans to comply with tax qualifications and labor rules. He started his career as a staffer in the U.S. Senate’s Budget Committee where he attended and summarized committee hearings on Budget and Tax policies.

Burch earned his Master of Laws in Taxation degree from Georgetown University Law Center and his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law. He received his B.A. from Colorado State University.
