Biography
Crystal leverages her experience as a litigator to serve as outside general counsel for privately-held businesses. She represents businesses across an array of industries, including manufacturing and transportation. This service helps proactive business owners identify and understand legal issues to minimize exposure and risk of litigation. Her practice includes providing services with contracts, employment issues, and insurance coverage and claims. As outside counsel, Crystal fields day-to-day employment issues, such as those involving employee benefits, hiring and firing, reductions-in-force, discrimination, harassment, and worker’s compensation; advises on insurance coverage and claims; negotiates service contracts, commercial leases, and resolution of disputes; conducts training of management personnel on various employment-related topics such as drug testing, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, worker’s compensation, and employee handbooks; and serves as an adviser to non-profit organizations.
