Daniel focuses his practice on municipal and project financings. Since 2014, he has worked on tax-exempt transactions throughout and around Kentucky totaling over $5 billion. In particular, he focuses on financings for some of Kentucky’s largest issuers, including the Kentucky State Property and Buildings Commission and Louisville’s Metropolitan Sewer District. He also has significant experience with conduit transactions, where he helps higher education institutions, hospitals, sports and entertainment complexes, and other qualifying entities access the capital markets.
Additionally, he has experience working on various program and specialty financings. Daniel assists clients with tax increment financings throughout the state and helps administer both the Kentucky League of Cities and Kentucky Association of Counties borrowing programs. He has experience with Public Private Partnerships, working on such projects as the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s recent $68.5 million P3 financing of an office building. He is also experienced in energy-saving transactions under the state’s Energy Project Assessment District Act of 2015.
Daniel is a Louisville native and resident but splits his time working between Dinsmore’s Louisville and Covington offices.
