Dennis R. Boren

Biography

Dennis has always been fascinated with how jobs work, from paper routes to Fortune 500 companies. He understands employers and employees both have specific sets of needs and has focused his career on ensuring employers and employees each honor the commitments made to each other.

He focuses his practice on traditional labor law and specializes in advising employers regarding compliance with the National Labor Relations Act, collective bargaining negotiations, and arbitration proceedings. Before joining Dinsmore, Dennis spent more than 40 years in various attorney positions with the National Labor Relations Board, including 15 years serving as the regional attorney for Region 7 (Michigan). This position placed him at the heart of the agency where he oversaw decision making for unfair labor practice charges; the issuance of complaints; settlement decisions; and where he oversaw attorneys’ pre- and post-trial work products and litigation.

Dennis regularly leverages his NLRB experience when counseling clients on labor and employment issues. His clients range from blue collar workers to CEOs, and he understands employees’ and businesses’ needs are unique and vary by case. In every matter he uses the skills he honed at the NLRB to discover and review the underlying evidence before making clients aware of potential settlement and litigation options.
