Dwight D. Myfelt


Dwight focuses his practice on employment-based immigration for corporate clients, representing them before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Department of Labor, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

He assists corporate clients and their employees with complex matters of immigration law and compliance, including nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, H-1B, TN, L-1, and O-1 visas, PERM labor certifications, I-140 petitions, applications to adjust status, and other essential filings. Dwight is well-versed in multiple pathways to permanent residence, including labor certification, Schedule A health care petitions, and filings for foreign nationals.

Dwight also assists clients in understanding the importance of immigration compliance. He works with clients to solve multi-faceted I-9 compliance issues, assists with client I-9 self-audits, and represents clients in federal audit proceedings. He also advises clients on best practices in preparing for immigration raids, site-visits, and travel bans.

Dwight’s clients come from diverse fields such as information technology, hi-tech/electronics, and health care. He has extensive experience working with health care employers ranging from health care facilities, including hospitals, rehab centers, clinics, nursing homes, home health care providers, and staffing companies with large temporary placement and direct to hire programs, providing guidance for U.S. employers seeking employment authorization for foreign educated health care professionals.

He also speaks at health care recruiting events, legal conferences, and professional associations.
