Harvey Cohen to address Advising Entrepreneurs at IBA Conference

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP’s Harvey Jay Cohen will moderate a key session at the 2nd International Bar Association (IBA)’s Global Entrepreneurship Conference held in Barcelona, Spain May 23-25, 2016.

Cohen’s session, “How to Advise Entrepreneurs,” focuses on the “do’s and don’ts” in advising an entrepreneur. Both the audience and chairs will exchange useful insights and situations. Cohen will moderate topics including when to “Lawyer Up”, when to use simple or complex arrangements, knowing who owns the intellectual property and more professional board best practices.

Following that conference, officers of the IBA will attend the IBA Mid-Year Officers Meetings in Barcelona May 25-28, 2016. Cohen will attend as Senior Vice-Chair of the IBA Closely Held and Growing Business Enterprises Committee. Cohen also has been active in leadership of the IBA serving on the IBA Bar Council, which is the member governing body of the IBA, the Bar Issues Commission and on the Law Firm Management Committee. The IBA is the world’s leading organization of international legal practitioners, counting more than 50,000 attorneys and 200 bar associations among its members.
