Dinsmore & Shohl LLP’s Jessica Spencer Benedict has been invited to join her alma mater Bethany College’s 1933 Society.

As a member of the 1933 Society, Jessica’s name will appear in the commencement program as having achieved the highest of all Bethany honors, distinction on their comprehensive exams.

Comprehensive exams are a graduation requirement at Bethany and getting distinction on them is an honor given to the top performers. The alumni who are named distinguished are inducted during their 10 year reunion. As a 2007 graduate, Benedict will be inducted this year.

“Comprehensives are a rite of passage for every Bethany student and a true preparation for graduate school. I’m beyond honored to be recognized by the 1933 Society for my achievement on my exams” stated Benedict.

Benedict is a member of Dinsmore’s Litigation Department where she focuses her practice on asbestos. She also continues to devote time to Bethany’s Kalon program, which recognizes students who possess leadership potential and will contribute to the college. As a Kalon scholar, Jessica’s service learning project on Youth Voter Participation was presented in Charleston before the 2004 presidential election. She helps in the selection of future Kalons and is available as a mentor.
