Lisa G. Hodgdon

Lisa understands her clients can’t wait days for answers to their questions, so if a call comes in at 5 p.m. with questions about how to handle a workplace investigation or policies for sick employees, she responds quickly. Her practice focuses on labor and employment law, and she counsels clients of all sizes in health care, industrial, engineering, financial, and other industries on timely issues including investigations as well as longer-term goals including pay structure changes and handbook reviews. Lisa’s two decades of litigation experience enable her to elevate clients’ employment issues and cases. She’s prepared to litigate but also assists clients in avoiding litigation and exploring early settlement options whenever possible.

Her experience includes handling litigation involving policies such as Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, The Americans with Disabilities Act, the Federal Civil Rights Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and whistleblower and retaliation claims. She drafts policies and handbooks and assists clients with complicated employment issues such as employee investigations, addressing requests for reasonable accommodations under ADA, and handling FMLA leave issues. Lisa also deals with restrictive covenant cases, responds to EEOC and FCHR charges, and handles administrative matters such as proceedings before boards and local agencies.
