Marisa  E.  Bens

Biography

Marisa focuses her practice on corporate and transactional law, working with public and private clients in a wide array of legal matters including contractual drafting and negotiations, capital and private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and public and private company securities. She provides strategic business counsel to meet the many needs of these companies, leveraging her business acumen and background in economics to provide practical, solutions-oriented recommendations to clients. This work includes all aspects of the business life cycle, including early-stage entity formation, continuing corporate governance, raising funding through Regulation D offerings, drafting registration and proxy statements, and ultimately assisting business owners with all types of growth and exit transactions.

Marisa, a Pittsburgh native, received her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a paralegal in Washington, D.C. for another law firm.
