Adam Mathews Joins Dinsmore & Shohl’s Dayton Office

Dinsmore & Shohl is pleased to announce that Adam Mathews has joined the firm’s Dayton office practicing in the Intellectual Property Department.

Prior to Dinsmore, Mathews was a Summer Associate for Faegre Baker Daniels LLP in Indianapolis where he worked on applications from the United States Patent and Trademark Office with mechanical, electrical, digital or chemical properties. He also preformed art searches to determine patentability and researched the America Invests Act to see the effects on practice of patent prosecution and litigation.

Mathews also worked for Bechtel Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in Pittsburgh as a Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program Engineer. He evaluated hardware and prepared a technical memo to share the results and recommended action. With guidance from lead counsel, Mathews examined prior art to determine patentability for company engineers. During undergrad, he interned for Proctor & Gamble in the Baby Care Research and Development department.

Mathews attended the University of Notre Dame for undergrad as well as law school, earning his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and his B.A. in Political Science.
