Dinsmore & Shohl is pleased to announce that David M. Thomas has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s Morgantown Office. He takes over for F. Thomas Rubenstein, who held that position since 2009. Rubenstein will remain active in the firm as a partner.

“On a personal level, I cannot say enough good things about Dave. It is truly a blessing working with a person who not only practices law at the highest level of professionalism but is a family man of high integrity and character. I’m very pleased to see the growth here at the Morgantown office since it opened seven years ago. We have accomplished a lot, and I know Dave will not only continue the momentum moving forward but enhance Dinsmore’s presence in this region,” said Rubenstein.

Thomas has been practicing law in Morgantown since 1996 and has been with Dinsmore since 2007. He will oversee 12 attorneys and 8 professional staff in his new role as Managing Partner.

“I’m honored to be named Office Managing Partner. I feel very fortunate to be able to practice at a firm with Dinsmore’s resources in one of the best small cities in the Country. We have enjoyed success and growth in our office over the last several years, and I look forward to working with our talented team here in Morgantown to continue that in the future,” said Thomas.

He assists corporate clients and financial institutions in a variety of commercial matters including loan structuring, workouts, collections, bankruptcy, and regulatory compliance.
