Dinsmore & Shohl is pleased to announce that it is has launched a new partnership with government affairs consultant Matt Davis to create DSD Advisors, LLC (DSD). The new affiliate business will provide strategic planning and public policy advocacy to public, private and non-profit organizations in Ohio and Northern Kentucky.

DSD Advisors’ mission is simple but powerful: to leverage key relationships to help clients achieve their public policy goals. Davis says the differentiator that DSD brings to the table is the ability to call on his ability to build strong coalitions and deliver results in public policy at the state, federal and local levels.

George H. Vincent, Dinsmore’s Managing Partner and Chairman, says combining efforts with Davis is a good move when you look at the common ground between Davis’ growth plan and the law firm.

“It’s clear that Matt shares the entrepreneurial spirit that is an integral part of Dinsmore,” said Vincent. “We both share a passion for government affairs and politics. Once we started talking about a partnership, all the pieces came together. This is a strategic move to offer a new level of services to the surrounding area, and I anticipate great things for DSD Advisors.”

Davis brings a wealth of leadership and experience to DSD. He previously served as the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s Senior Vice President for Government Affairs. Davis also serves as the Director of the Build Our New Bridge Now Coalition, an advocacy organization made up of nearly 200 business, labor, community and government leaders charged with creating the political will to build a new Brent Spence Bridge Corridor faster and more efficiently. Matt previously served as the Interim Executive Director of REDI Cincinnati, the region’s economic development initiative and has been in government affairs roles at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“I have always been fascinated by politics and the policy making process,” said Davis. “I’m passionate about finding ways to help people and organizations have an impact and amplify their voice in government.”

Davis will serve as president and partner of DSD Advisors. Davis received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Miami University and brings 15 years of public policy and government relations service experience to DSD Advisors.
