Dinsmore Commits to Downtown Charleston

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP unveils its new location, Suite 1300 Chase Tower, in the heart of downtown Charleston.

Dinsmore’s merger with Huddleston Bolen in February 2015 put the office at capacity and created the need to reorganize the space. Charleston Office Managing Partner Anna Dailey and Office Manager Tom Hamm began to review their options once the Huddleston Bolen attorneys moved.

“Dinsmore is committed to Charleston and West Virginia, so finding a long term lease for great space at a competitive price was essential. Chase was able to offer all 3 requirements,” said Hamm. “We have a wonderful relationship with Huntington Bank, and leaving Huntington Square was a very difficult decision. But Chase Tower allowed us to sign for 10 years.”

“We knew our new location had to accommodate our anticipated growth in Charleston, and we designed the office with an eye to supporting our future needs as we continue to expand and diversify,” said Dailey. “Huddleston Bolen’s office was located in Chase Tower, so this provides a homecoming for many of our colleagues, although the space has been re-designed. We look forward to the move, especially with Dinsmore’s modernizing of the work spaces.”

The firm renovated the same suite Huddleston Bolen vacated on the 13th Floor and added a half floor on 11. The new space will have roughly the same square footage, but it will be more efficient moving from four smaller floors to two larger floors.

Following the 2015 merger with Huddleston Bolen, Dinsmore became the 4th largest law firm in West Virginia. The merger added litigators, commercial lawyers, corporate and estate planning attorneys to Dinsmore’s West Virginia offices, as well as added a new Dinsmore location in Huntington. The firm’s Louisville, KY office also gained attorneys from Huddleston Bolen.

The new address for Dinsmore’s Charleston office is: 707 Virginia Street East, Suite 1300, Charleston, WV 25301. All phone numbers and fax numbers remain the same.
