Dinsmore & Shohl LLP honored partner Chris Plybon with its Mentor of the Year award at the firm’s annual Attorney Dinner on Oct 20. Associates Sarah Cameron and Katherine Capito received the Difference Maker award, given in memory of Alice J. Neeley.

Plybon was selected Mentor of the Year for his dedication to the professional development and education of his fellow attorneys. A partner in the firm’s Huntington office, he concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, commercial transactions, banking and bankruptcy.

Cameron and Capito received the Difference Maker award, which was established in 2004 to honor former associate Alice Neeley, who inspired others through her professionalism and positivity during her battle with cancer. A member of the litigation department, Cameron works in the Cincinnati office and focuses on contract-related and business tort litigation. Capito, based in Charleston, W.V., is a member of the labor and employment department and handles employment-related litigation matters, such as discrimination and harassment claims.

Dinsmore presents the Mentor of the Year and Difference Maker awards annually, with candidates being nominated by their peers and selected by a committee. The firm also honored Jim Gottman with the Retired Partner award.
