Dinsmore & Shohl Raises Over 15,000 Meals for Operation Feed

June 29, 2010News Releases

During just one week in the month of June, the Columbus office of Dinsmore & Shohl raised more than 15,000 meals through an office-based food drive to benefit the Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s Operation Feed Campaign. The food drive featured an office-wide competitive challenge between three teams of attorneys and staff, as well as a chili cook-off, bake sale, and raffle drawings for numerous prizes. The 15,000 meals raised is almost 5,000 more meals than the firm raised for the cause in 2009. That increase in meals raised is noteworthy, especially since Dinsmore & Shohl’s efforts last year were enough to earn the Foodbank’s “Outstanding New Campaign Award” during a ceremony at the Governor’s Residence.

Reflecting on the success of the food drive, Don Leach, Managing Partner of the Columbus office, noted that “the generosity of our attorneys and staff is remarkable and we’re pleased to do our part. I would encourage other law firms to get involved with Operation Feed. It’s a worthwhile cause and the campaign activities, particularly the competition, can energize the office in a fun and refreshing way.”
